This painting is a friend's Great Dane named Charly who is the sweetest girl ever! We attended a Halloween party where my friend was dressed as Cruella, and Charly was a huge version of a dalmatian with her black spots. It was such a great "costume" for her. ☺
When I got home and was thinking about the party, I was inspired to paint Charly based on a photo. I tried to capture her sweet nature in this painting in a whimsical style.
I love animals. In the past, I volunteered with a cat rescue, fostering and finding homes for over 100 kittens and cats. I love capturing the kind and loving spirit of animals in my paintings to bring a smile to your face whenever you walk by and gaze upon the art.
